Past Projects - Padmé Corset Gown

This costume, inspired by the fireside scene from Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, was one of the most challenging, but rewarding costumes I have made.  As with all my earliest work, I took no in-progress pictures. It is a bit hot and uncomfortable (three words: tight satin corset) but this costume was certainly fun to wear!  I made it in 2005 for the Star Wars Celebration III convention.

Past Projects - Padmé Family Gown

The Family Gown - so named because Padmé wears it when she takes Anakin home to meet her parents.
I originally did not plan to make this costume.  But when I found the perfect fabric for $0.99 a yard, I couldn't pass it up! I bought it at Mill End Textiles in Rochester, MN in early August of 2004.  That purchase really solidified in my mind that I was going to go to Star Wars Celebration III the following May, come hell or high water!

Obligatory Introduction Post

Hello, my name is Chelsea and I've been a costumer since 2005.  I have always loved movie costumes, especially historical ones, but my interest really peaked with the Star Wars prequel trilogy.  I found fellow costumers through theforce.net's Costuming and Props message boards, which is how I discovered the world of conventions.  In May of 2005, I attended Celebration III, wearing three Padmé costumes I had made for myself.

I had a ton of fun and met some amazing costumers.  I look forward to attending this year's Celebration VI in Orlando!
